MDI versus Nebulizer - And the Winner Is?


When it comes to treating respiratory illnesses like asthma, or COPD, the battle between the metered-dose inhaler (MDI) and nebulizer is still going strong. And, while most people think the nebulizer is better, the MDI is packing a mean punch as studies show it is just as effective or even better than wet nebs.

As a registered nurse, I often find my patients respond faster to the nebulizer. This is what I learned on my nursing course many years ago too
